Published 17 August 2026 using TAT’s July announcement. Completed events are described retrospectively; later-August listings should be rechecked before travel.
August’s official calendar linked food, textiles, performing arts and regional identity across multiple destinations rather than concentrating activity in one city.
Events already completed
Pran Buri paired a seafood festival with small balloon displays from 7–9 August. Chiang Mai presented contemporary Lanna textiles at an outdoor runway event on 8 August, while Bangkok hosted an international pantomime programme on 8–9 August. Lampang later focused on naturally dyed Pha Khrang textiles.
Mid-month community activity
Chiang Khan’s riverside programme ran through 16 August, while Hat Yai hosted a large Buddhist alms-giving ceremony on 16 August. These events required different visitor behavior: a public entertainment district is not approached in the same way as a religious ceremony.
Later-August dates to verify
The official calendar listed the Thai Teaw Thai travel fair at QSNCC from 20–23 August, a Chiang Mai music event on 22 August and a Peranakan cultural-light programme in Phuket Old Town from 23–29 August. Plans, access and times can change, so confirm with the organizer before departure.
