Retrospective coverage published by GuideInThailand on 17 August 2026. The announcement chronology is preserved from the Tourism Authority of Thailand source dated 22 July.
Bangkok is scheduled to host the World Travel & Culture Expo 2026 from 29–31 October at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani. The event is structured around tourism, culture, entertainment technology and creative-industry trade rather than a general city festival.
What was announced
TAT joined the Tourism Council of Thailand and Guangdong Grandeur International Exhibition Group in announcing the event. The programme is expected to include specialist exhibitions involving attractions, family entertainment, indoor sport, production technology and intellectual property.
What it means for visitors
IMPACT is north of central Bangkok and is not reached by the same simple city-center walking pattern as venues around Siam or Sukhumvit. Attendees should plan the final transport leg, allow for event traffic and confirm public admission or registration requirements with the organizer.
Travelers not attending may notice stronger hotel demand and road activity around Muang Thong Thani. There is no reason to reorganize an entire Bangkok trip, but same-day transfers through the area deserve more buffer.
How to plan
- Verify the current programme and access rules before traveling to the venue.
- Keep venue and hotel names in Thai or as a map pin.
- Avoid a tight airport or rail connection immediately after the event.
- Use licensed transport and designated pickup zones.
