Retrospective coverage published by GuideInThailand on 17 August 2026, based on the official 6 August route announcement.
TransNusa launched a twice-daily Jakarta–Bangkok service, adding another nonstop option between Indonesia and Thailand. TAT said the operation represents more than 130,000 seats a year.
Why it matters to travelers
Additional frequency can improve schedule choice and competition for visitors beginning in Jakarta or building a Southeast Asia itinerary. A new route does not guarantee the lowest total fare: baggage, seat selection, airport transfers and connection protection still matter.
Before booking
- Confirm the Bangkok airport code and terminal on the live itinerary.
- Check included cabin and checked baggage.
- Allow a conservative buffer for separate-ticket connections.
- Review Thailand entry requirements for the passport used.
- Reconfirm the operating schedule directly with the airline.
Travelers connecting onward in Bangkok should read our Bangkok airport transfer guide before assuming that two flights use the same airport.
