Checked 17 August 2026. Thailand’s Immigration Bureau describes the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) as the online replacement for the paper arrival card. It is an immigration-arrival form, not a visa or permission to enter.
Who should submit a TDAC?
The official guidance says non-Thai nationals entering Thailand by air, land or sea must submit the form before entry. Because exemptions and operational procedures can change, travelers should recheck the Immigration Bureau portal shortly before departure rather than relying on an old screenshot or social-media post.
When can it be submitted?
The Immigration Bureau says travelers submit their information within the three days before arrival. Use the date on which you expect to reach Thailand, not the date on which a long connecting itinerary begins.
What information should you prepare?
- Passport and personal details exactly as shown in the passport.
- Arrival and travel information.
- The address of your accommodation in Thailand.
- An email address that you can access while traveling.
- Health-declaration information if the system requests it.
The official system accepts individual submissions and group submissions for up to ten travelers. Review machine-readable-zone scans carefully; the Immigration Bureau specifically asks users to recheck automatically retrieved passport information.
After submission
Save the arrival card delivered through the portal or by email. Keeping an offline copy on your phone—and a printed copy if that makes you more comfortable—reduces dependence on airport connectivity. The official guide also provides an update function, although core identity fields including full name, nationality and date of birth cannot be changed through that route.
Avoid unofficial payment pages
Begin at the official Immigration Bureau domain. The TDAC itself should not be confused with a paid visa service. Be cautious when a search advertisement or third-party page asks for money, unnecessary documents or sensitive information.
TDAC versus a visa
Completing a TDAC does not decide whether you need a visa. Visa eligibility depends on nationality, passport, purpose, length of stay and current Thai rules. Check those questions separately with a Thai embassy, consulate or the official Thai e‑Visa service.
